CHUGGING ALONG...

GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!!!
MAXDOG here...

Hello there everybody!
It's me...MAXDOG!
and I've reached the big
60!!!
Yes, we are all thankful...this is my 60th day of Grace!!!
Who would have believed, on the 6th February this year, when they told me I only had a week or two left to live, that I would still be here!
Mom says that it is a miracle and that she is very thankful for each extra day granted to me!
Thank you for all your continuous prayers, uplifting thoughts and messages of support!

But yes, I'm not feeling that well nowadays. I sleep most of the time and generally don't like my food. Mom says too that she is struggling to get decent pictures of me...well I'm not sure I believe her!?!

On the positive side though, I am still fairly comfortable and pain free.
The evening walk is certainly my highlight and since I don't like Dog food any more, I've taken to sneaking some of the human food...
'husky pancakes are the best!'

Now, I must tell you that we have a VERY determined Veterinay student in our midst!!!
Don't you think this photo speaks for itself in highlighting her tenacity?...

Yes, Miss "R" had her wisdom teeth out yesterday, so now she has to study even harder to get more wisdom. I am sure that it will benefit all us doggies in the end! (the studying that is!).
Go Miss "R"!!!

I'm a little uncertain of one of the little figurines which she has collected to inspire her.
The size of that 'injection' simply curdles my saliva! (uh...drool!)...

Yep, that is supposed to be a small doggie on the 'examining' table...Yikes!!!
(Mom however thinks this is a splendid figurine!.humph...humans!)

Anyway, I still enjoy the odd stroll to check out my garden...

TAMMY simply stares at me!
Check out that puffed up mouth...what could she be thinking?

...Our moonflower is still blooming sweetly...
...and the bees are still buzzing around it!...

Yep, TAMMY, you are still the best girlfriend ever....!

As for me...
I think it is time for another snooze!

Wishing you all a Wonderful Wednesday!

Happy Day 60! We think you deserve the human food you are sneaking and think Tammy wonders how good it all tastes (but know she does not begrudge you the snacks). Glad Miss R came through the procedure well.

Tammy really IS the best girlfriend ever. You're so lucky to have her.
We're so glad you reached your HUGE 60th milestone. You're doing so well, Max, don't give up, ok? We're all here for you.

Congratulatons on your 60th day of grace. Even though you are sleeping more and changing your diet I think you’re still looking wonderful. In fact in the first photo in this post you look so like the image of you in your Maxterpiece with your lovely eyes and smile. There is even a certain symmetry in how today’s first photo and the painting appear to be almost mirrored beside each other!

Woofs,
Riley

Hey Max. It would be so great if you could come up and share spring with all of us. That's only a dream, but one day, we will all enjoy spring together. That's a promise!

Hey Maxman! Here's to another 60! I find it hard to believe you don't want to eat, when I want to eat all the time. Maybe you need some more treats. perhaps a little bowl of ice cream for breakfast? I know I'd never turn my nose up at ice cream (or yogurt or...).

Enjoy that nice green grass and smelling the flowers!

Petey

Such sweet dreamers on their duvets! Very cozy. Maxmom, if I were to "come back" as a doggie, I would want to live with you! Love Miss R's inspirational art piece! Very interesting! Also, in the post below, LOVE the aloe plant art. Amazing! xoxoxo

Hi Max & Mom;
We are so happy that you have reached # 60. God has a plan and he doesn't go by arbitrary dates. You just keep stacking up those days and those pancakes.
We love fruit, especially cantaloupe, strawberries, bananas, well actually you name it, and we love it BOL.
Glad Miss R is on the road to recovery and getting all her wisdom back.
It is so nice to see photos of you and Tammy, Ah Golden's in love, doesn't get any better than that.
You take care Max, keep putting one paw in front of the other and keep doing what your doing and those days of grace will continue to mount.
We love you and are praying so hard for you.
Your Friends,

Hamish & Rescue Sophie

So happy that MaxDog is still chugging along and not in pain. You've been blessed with these days and an uplifting attitude.

Miss R sure is dedicated! That needle is probably like the one that they used on Miss R for her "wisdom extraction" - unless she had general anaesthesia. Hope that she recovers fast!

Hey Max Dog and family,
What a wonderful, if unexpected, day. It wasn't yet your time to depart from us. Your time well come when it comes just as it does for all of us, peeps and pets. You should be enjoy stuff like pancakes and whatever else you want. When Chance was getting ready to go to The Bridge he got to have steak and potatoes and liver and rice. he made frequent trips to McDonald's for cheeseburgers and french fries. He had a GReat two months of Grace; we all miss him but especially our dad. Dad always says that there is plenty of love to go around and that we can all share in it, but Chance and dad had a special bond that is difficult to explain. Dad is always caring to all of us but Chance just seemed to be a bit more special. So we know how Ms. Caryl feels about her beloved Max Dog. Youse guys just take one day at a time. We are praying for our friends in South Africa, praying for continued Grace and a peaceful departure but only when it is meant to be. You are in our thoughts and in our hearts. We love you all, even if from afar.

That shot! I'm going to have nightmares!

Perhaps you should tell your mom that she should just let you eat whatever you please! I mean, sixty days of grace deserves some special considerations if you ask me! Tell her you'd like steak and ice cream for your meals. I mean, it can't hurt to ask, right?

Oh MaxDog! We are so very Thrilled that you have reached your 60th Day of Grace! We wish you at least 360 more!

Glad that you like "Husky Pancakes", not sure what they are but people food is best! Whatever you want to eat, as long as you EAT!

We hope that Miss R will be out of the hospital soon. Her wisdom teeth must have been very impacted to be hospitalized. Here in the states you just go to the Dentist and they yank them out and send you home. Yuck!

Mom just LOVES Miss R's figurine of the Vet! How ingenious it is how it was put together. Amazing.

The garden is still beautiful though!

I think Tammy knows that your sick Max and she does not know what to do for you.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Hugs and Kisses, Tessa

Hey Max, You keep fighting o.k. As for sleeping alot, man you are so handsome that you need your beauty sleep. I am so thankful you've hung in there and surpassed the initial time frame. Boy, I'd ship you pancakes if I thought it would help. Big hugs to you today.
Noreen and Reggie too.

Darling Max, our momma is so happy to see you today. We think that you should hold out for as many pancakes as your momma and dadda can carry back from the market!

Something is supposed to happen tonight here in Michigan that we know your momma would love to see - we are going to get about 2 inches of snow...sigh. Momma isn't all that pleased but she knew that an early spring up here is full of uncertainty☺ We will ask momma to take a photo of it to send to you - right next to the pretty daffodil that will need a coat and hat to keep warm☺

Max, we are keeping you close to our ♥s in prayer and tender thoughts. We want you to know that you are our hero and that we l♥ve you furry and furry much.

Aw, Max - it IS a miracle! A wonderful miracle but I am sure it is also because you are a fighter and have the wonderful love & support of your family.

And what does your human mean she's not able to get nice photos??!! All your photos are always gorgeous!

please forgive me if I haven't commented much lately - my human is very busy and she is also suffering again from her RSI so has to rest her hands from typing as much as possible (since she has to do so much of it in her work) - but although I don't always leave comments, I always keep up with all your posts and am so happy to see you still enjoying your walks and looking happy. And of course, we are always keeping you in our thoughts. (BY the way, my human LOVED the post about the wedding recently!)
