Dear Readers and faithful friends,

After a number of years of wonderful blogging, this blog has effectively become dormant - except for occasional updates regarding my book, MAXDOG. I have left this blog as a legacy to my dog and a place of sanctuary where we can reflect upon his life. Take your time, peruse the pages spanning Max's 18 months in cyberspace. Feel refreshed and uplifted because his story is an amazing one of..."LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX!"
My activities have now moved on to my new blog entitled "LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX". Please join me there where you can read about my family and canine companions. I also invite you to visit MAXDOG's FANPAGE on FACEBOOK. You can follow the specific links by clicking below:

MAXDOG's CHRISTMAS TRIBUTE

Friday, March 15, 2013

12 MARCH 2013: MAXDOG REMEMBERED.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY ANGEL!
Thinking of you still brings tears to my eyes...
But also joy to my heart!

It's been three years now and your legacy lives on - in many ways.
You may be running free in the happy pastures across the Rainbow bridge, but your Spirit lives on here with us too.
Your voice is heard in your brothers and sisters who have come after you;
 Toby, your 'Sprinkling'
and
little Lexi, our 'little Sunbeam'.
Tammy, too, although ageing, still sits in your spot in the garden.
And me?  I hold you closely in my heart...
You taught me so much, my boy...
about your breed and dogs, in general.
You taught me about love, compassion, patience, perseverance, hope, tenacity, loyalty, generosity, delight, joy, love...
the list goes on and on...

I tried to bring you tribute with your book, my Angel.
I wanted it to 'Do good!' - like you did - and 'touch hearts' - like you did.
I think it has...I hope it has...

My boy...
Today, as I try and choose a photo for you, I think of you 'amidst everything in life'.
This special photo of you with the toys, I think, does justice:
You may be one amongst many memories, but wow, you are special!
...and always will be!

I love you, my boy...
Run free until we meet again...
Your loving,
MAXMOM

I read Maxdog about 6 months ago, but I picked it up to read again after we lost a very close bloggy pal. It is a wonderful book and thank you for sharing Max. He lives on and on through your words.

My friend, You brought tears to my eyes today-it seems like just yesterday; I feel the ache in your heart. Just like I have for my Sadie. I'm so thankful that you have Toby and Lexi-to brings smiles and Tammy to bring back memories.
Hugs, Noreen

You know, you really did good with Your and Max's book. And it's true, too, what they teach us lives on in the dog loves we have after them. As I watch Toby and now "sweet Sunbeam" grow I see him. I don't know why but I get the feeling Lexi will really be a people dog,,,touching hearts in a special way. Her eyes touch my heart across the sea in each picture. ANd I feel she has a special place to fill. Well done tribute.
