Dear Readers and faithful friends,

After a number of years of wonderful blogging, this blog has effectively become dormant - except for occasional updates regarding my book, MAXDOG. I have left this blog as a legacy to my dog and a place of sanctuary where we can reflect upon his life. Take your time, peruse the pages spanning Max's 18 months in cyberspace. Feel refreshed and uplifted because his story is an amazing one of..."LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX!"
My activities have now moved on to my new blog entitled "LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX". Please join me there where you can read about my family and canine companions. I also invite you to visit MAXDOG's FANPAGE on FACEBOOK. You can follow the specific links by clicking below:

WELCOME TO SOUTH AFRICA!

mmmWOOF!
MAXDOG, YOUR TOUR GUIDE HERE...
Hello there all my furry friends and unexpected doggie visitors!

WELCOME TO SOUTH AFRICA!!!

As many of our readers already know, we have some guests in our midst.

Mango and his clan recently arrived on our doorstep, unannounced!

Although, their idea is to simply "Crash" at our place, we welcome them with open paws! Remember, South Africans always try to be perfect hosts and afterall...

I AM THE BEST SOUTH AFRICAN TOUR GUIDE!

Although we recognise some of the doggies in this picture,

you are sure to discover the full story of

MANGO'S GREAT SOUTH AFRICAN EXPEDITION on these blogs:

Be sure to visit them to get their full side of the story!
---x----

I would very much like to dedicate today's post to all those Doggies and Doggie parents who are suffering.
In particular, we would like to remember WOODROW as he struggles with his health as well as
Airedale Heaven's terriers whose Dad is very sick. Hopefully our blog will bring a spark of sunshine into their difficult situations.

WE SEND WARMEST SOUTH AFRICAN GREETINGS TO ALL THOSE WHO ARE STRUGGLING IN SOME WAY!

---X---
So, now, lets get on with the story!

Yes, our house is a tornado at the moment. We've have had all sorts of characters show up on our doorstep in various forms of strange attire. It's quite a cultural shock, to say the least! As TOFFEE mentioned in his 'underhand' post yesterday, here in SOUTH AFRICA we like to go
'au naturelle'. Here we lead a simple, yet practical life.

Lacie and her mates should take care to remember that perfume chases away wild animals and 'bling' does not promote camouflage! Here, diamonds aren't a girl's best friend...they are to sell to overseas visitors!

Anyway, all these visitors scared the &*%# out of TOFFEE!!!
I had to coax him for hours to come down from Mom's extractor fan!!!

Tammy and I too, took our leave for a short while...
to fill ourselves with the joys of spring (and each other) in Mom's garden.

Mom, I think has taken off somewhere...to find insignificance and refuge in our big city of
JOHANNESBURG!!!

So with this really FULL house of ours, we would like to suggest to our visitors to perhaps take a visit to some of our marvellous tourist attractions we have on offer:...

OUR BEACHES!!!

OUR MOUNTAINS!!!

OUR CANYON!!!

OUR BEAUTIFUL GAME RESERVES AND GAME FARMS!!!

Or to simply find a spot on our African landscape and enjoy
OUR INCREDIBLE SUNSETS!!!

Here's hoping we will survive all this!
(and Mom will get some sleep!)
Lots of licks

Hi Max
What lovely pictures! We love that you are showing all our blogging buddies round South Africa.
You will have to keep a close eye on them though. They have been known to get up to all sorts of mischief!
We look forward to hearing how you all get on.

Sending a hug to your mom who deserves it. That was pretty fun to take a tour of South Africa. Wow! I have never taken the time to research what that area might look like so that was really really fun! Thank you so much! That was a great and caring post. I will keep all of those friends in mind. Have a great weekend!

Hmmm. Maybe we'll come visit in the off season and Toffee will have come down from the extractor fan by then. (We're pleased, though, that he may be coming to his senses. We were a little afraid of his flirtations with Lacie.)

You've got a beautiful country to share with your visitors. We know they appreciate your hospitality. And we thank you for sharing it with us!

You'll survive, and you'll have great memories, along with the rest of us. It's difficult to forget some of the images we've seen!

Enjoy!
