TOFFEE TOUR GUIDE

GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!!!
TOFFEE-DOG here...

Hello there to all our furry friends from around the world!

It's been such a fun-filled time in bloggie-land with everyone playing the tour-guide in all the different countries in honour of MAXDOG.

I, the TOFFEE-DOG also got to look at all your wonderful WORLD TOUR blogposts!!!

I came across two more posts that Max & Mom missed. Please go and take a look:

La Storia di Lucia

(Where Max and Lucia share tricks they have learned)

Doyle and Mollie

(Who graciously showed Max some of the sights of New Zealand - and converted Max into a Springbok Rugby player!)

Benny and Lily at Doggy Days

(Who participated with Max at the Winter Olympics)

If you missed the WORLD TOUR, please click HERE, grab a cuppa and take your time visiting the 42 bloggers who put up special posts for MAX'S WORLD TOUR on Valentine's day!)

As for me, the TOFFEE-DOG...

I am doing a lot of SLEEP SUPERVISING in this household...

I think Mom is running some sort of sleep clinic for the Maxdog???
Anyway, thank goodness she got him out into the garden this morning to help her cut the last of the Dahlia blooms...

Look at the pretty vase of Dahlias which she salvaged from the patch...

As for my sista...the TAMMY-DOG...

She's been getting herself into lots of trouble!
This morning she sneaked out of the front gate, when Mom wasn't looking, and went on a BIG romp, all by herself... to Max's grassy patch.

We had a big thunderstorm last night, so the long grass was sopping wet and she came back looking like a convoluted Labra-dork...

Mom was really cross with her, so when TAMMY-DOG got a mosquito on her nose, Mom simply grabbed the camera, BOL!...

Anyway, she eventually calmed down after all her zoomies and looked quite regal in the garden...

Well, since MAXDOG has been visiting all the wonderful sights in the world, I thought I, the TOFFEE-DOG
would show you something you might not have seen before.
I want to take you to a country, just north of our borders, where things are VERY EXPENSIVE...for the citizens of the country! It is the country of...
ZIMBABWE...

Why am I taking you there?

Well, you see, I think that I, the TOFFEE-DOG have found the elusive
RAINBOW BRIDGE!!!...
(Pictures courtesy of S A VENUES)

THE VICTORIA FALLS IN ZIMBABWE

There is an island in the middle of the canyon where the water falls. There is a little bridge which links the island to the mainland. When you walk across that bridge you will certainly get drenched as the spray from the water fall hits you. Also, you will always see a RAINBOW!!! It is absolutely beautiful!!! If you ever come to Africa, make sure that the magnificent VICTORIA FALLS is featured on your travels!

I, the TOFFEE-DOG,
most definitely think that I have found the
Southern Hemisphere's
RAINBOW BRIDGE!

What do you think?
I hope you enjoyed my attempt at being TOUR GUIDE too.

MAX UPDATE:
Maxi is doing well. He is VERY sleepy and his tummy is quite swollen, but everything else is fine. He is eating his food and his stools are normal. We enjoy everyday that we have with him...today is "Day number 10" after he was sent home with nothing more that the vets could do. He is most certainly a fighter and is not ready to give up at all!

Wonderful post, Toffee. We loved the photo of the southern hemisphere Rainbow Bridge! And we laughed at the one of Tammy with a mozzie on her nose!

Please give a giant cuddle to Maxz for us!

Toffee - you did a great job! Love the falls and the rainbow bridge. But, I do think that you should've smacked that mosquito for Tammy. Just one girl's opinion :)

Why don't you snuggle up for a nap with your brother Max after all this hard work? I'm glad that he's staying strong.

Hi there Toffee!

You're doing great as a Tour Pup. Great post, indeed. What an interesting trip to Zimbabwe. Wow! That's a looooot of 000's in that paper bill! The rainbow bridge photos are very pretty.

Back in your love-filled home. The dahlias are so lovely. It's great that Max is having a good time with all of you there. Tammy is so funny looking soaked for a bit.

Toffee, you are all great for helping Mom to look after Max. We are here for you too.

I can see, like many of us, you have learned well from Max. I think he would be proud of you. Don't forget to show him this post when he wakes up from his nap.

I loved the Rainbow Bridge, verymost beautiful! While we here are still plowing through snow, we love to see your flowers and greenery!

Kisses,

Stella

Very nice job as Tour Director, Toffee!

While we certainly miss Max's tours, you obviously have an eye for beauty.

Toffee I think you have found your calling - snooper-reporter! You did an excellent job and yes, honey, I think you found the BRIDGE. I can't imagine a more beautiful place for me to finally be reunited with my loved ones.

Please tell your momma this - liver cancer is not really painful. How do I know this? When my mother's cancer metastasized, her doctor told me that I should pray her liver cancer took her live and not the bone cancer because the liver caused little pain.

Regardless, I am heartsick about Max's illness and am still praying for him and cuddling him from across the miles...

Toffee, you are a fantastic tour guide!...A moving post=the Rainbow Bridge is an absolutely gorgeous and surreal discovery, a place of wonder that captivates our imagination and you have made it beautiful and real for us!!...Love and prayers to you and your family, especially sweet Max.

How clever of you to locate the Rainbow Bridge for us. It will stay in our minds when we think of those who have crossed over.

We read a lot about how the people in Zimbabwe have suffered -- and are suffering. Somehow the bridge offers some hope -- although do the people have to cross it to put an end to their suffering?

Hugs to sweet Max. We so sorry we missed his tour when he was just a few miles to the south chez Moose -- but know he would have enjoyed a tour of our South Florida landscape.

Wirey love,

Jake and Just Harry

Hello, I have been stopping by after seeing Max at Ina's and also at KB's. Tobi, I love your look-so what were your mom and dad? Love seeing Max and his girlfriend too as well as the bridge. My own sweet girl, Sadie, crossed the bridge Christmas night and I miss her so-as well as her best buddy Reggie-he keeps wandering the yard looking for her. The posts of Max being ill bring tears to my eyes...so hopefully you'll all have wonderful days together still.

Great job as a tour guide Toffee. You are so adventurous, exploring a foreign country and braving a dramatic an ginormous waterfull (Don't tell anyone, but I find even the relatively small ones we have in Scotland quite scary sometimes).
And thanks too for keeping up updated on Max. Good to hear he's at least comfortable. Sometimes, sleeping is the best thing you can do. I know all about that, these days.
Cheers! H.

You are a fabulous tour guide, Toffee!

I love that Rainbow Bridge, so beautiful! Not very likely that I'll ever get there so thanks for sharing the beauty.

I love those dalias! Wish I had pretty flowers like that! I'm not an outside person and don't enjoy gardening due to all the dirt, bugs and spiders that go along with it. Half the time I forget to water my roses so I'm always amazed when they come back every year.

Thanks for the daily update on Max. I'm still praying for him daily!

Toffee, that was absolutely beautiful, seeing the Rainbow Bridge and Victoria Falls. We are glad that it is off in the distance and resting in such a beautiful place.

Looks like you are doing a good job of keeping watch while Max get some rest. Maybe Tammy was trying to bring back a little of that special spot of Max's to him so he wouldn't have to go out himself... maybe? The Corgi Country Crew
