Dear Readers and faithful friends,

After a number of years of wonderful blogging, this blog has effectively become dormant - except for occasional updates regarding my book, MAXDOG. I have left this blog as a legacy to my dog and a place of sanctuary where we can reflect upon his life. Take your time, peruse the pages spanning Max's 18 months in cyberspace. Feel refreshed and uplifted because his story is an amazing one of..."LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX!"
My activities have now moved on to my new blog entitled "LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX". Please join me there where you can read about my family and canine companions. I also invite you to visit MAXDOG's FANPAGE on FACEBOOK. You can follow the specific links by clicking below:

My dearest Max, we think it is a good thing that you are relaxing today on your blog and allowing others to help you speak. Spend the day with your Maxmom and your Maxdad. Cuddle and love and consume the love they have for you. For after all is said and done - rich or poor - great or small - the most treasures gift of all is love.

Thank you so much, darling Max. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your last journey to teach all of us so much about kindness and gentleness and dignity and acceptance.

A remarkable dog living in Africa has made an immense impact on the life of someone in Michigan. Max, your name is legion...

Just been over to Loving for a Living. What an amazing, beautifully written post. It's rare that I add someone's blog to my favourites on first acquaintance, but this one has gone straight on the list!
Hope Max is comfortable. Please give him a pat from me.
Cheers,

Hey Max and Maxmom,
Boy, Ms. Mimi sure posted what all your friends believe in a most eloquent way; it was beautiful to listen to. Our grumpy and gruff old tough carrier pilot dad had a hard time reading it to us though. He was all misty and hesitant while reading it to us; he must have had something in his eyes. When he was done reading it to us he simple said "Amen" like it was a prayer. We want y'all to know that we feel the same way about you as Ms. Mimi does, and so do all of your other friends. But none of us have the gift for writing down our feelings and the truth like she does. We are praying daily for your comfort and welfare and for your continuing period of Grace. We realize that soon it will likely be your time to move along the Circle of Life but each of our passage along the circle will be more meaningful because of you both; you have truly made a mark on all of our hearts and souls. We love you Max Dog and Maxmom.

Maxdog, you sure are a good teacher. And I can safely say we've learned a lot from the way you carry yourself with grace during the difficult times. I am so glad I found your blog, and thank you for sharing a tiny piece of your life with us!

Yes, that is a beautiful post -- we read it before we came here today. We are fortunate we met Max when so many of his friends came to "visit him" in South Africa. We enjoyed those posts on the different blogs and checked on you from time to time. But your posts on Max's days of grace have really touched our hearts.
