Dear Readers and faithful friends,

After a number of years of wonderful blogging, this blog has effectively become dormant - except for occasional updates regarding my book, MAXDOG. I have left this blog as a legacy to my dog and a place of sanctuary where we can reflect upon his life. Take your time, peruse the pages spanning Max's 18 months in cyberspace. Feel refreshed and uplifted because his story is an amazing one of..."LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX!"
My activities have now moved on to my new blog entitled "LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX". Please join me there where you can read about my family and canine companions. I also invite you to visit MAXDOG's FANPAGE on FACEBOOK. You can follow the specific links by clicking below:

MAXDOG reporting...

Hello there every furry buddy! It's WEEKEND!!!

The whole family is home and we are all just chillin'! Last night the humans had a 'pancake' evening...we WATCHED!...closely!

Check TAMMY's "Give me" face!

(Oh I love this girl friend of mine!!!)

TOFFEE stretched himself out on the carpet after giving up his bid for a pancake!
(We call him SPATCH-CHICKEN when he lies like this...check out his back legs!)

AND guess what!!!? Robyn's hamster, "SCNAPPS" came home with her for the weekend.
We haven't seen the little thing for a couple of weeks now....
and it looks like he's been munching on pancakes non-stop!
(Their Residence food must be good!!!)

(Robyn says that SCHNAPPS has worked out how to sift out all the sunflower seeds from his food bowl and that is what has given him his/her ROUND look.
She assures us she has taken contingency measure to prevent an obese hamster!)

Anyway, I thought I'd show you some more of Mom's general pictures whilst we are chillin' here...

This is the young Jacaranda tree - just around the corner from us.
(And YES, I have marked it!)

This is another view of a part of our JOHANNESBURG FOREST.
(Mom snapped this picture whilst being a passenger in a moving car)

And this is the view of part of JOHANNESBURG CITY from one of the suburbs.
(In the distance - on the horizon, on the left hand side- is the main
JOHANNESBURG HOSPITAL and medical school.
- a big concrete slab -
This is followed by the three nurses residences, then the
You can also see a band of JACARANDA trees running horizontally in the distance)
Well, I said I was just chillin', so here I am....just chillin'!

Anyone wanna play with me????
Lots of licks

When I think of South Africa I think of the desert like inland Australia, not the lush greenery and thriving city that you show us... Im loving seeing the country through your eyes

Schnaps is such a cute little hamster and Toffee's rug relaxation picture is so sweet.

Thank you Max for another wonderful report. We can almost smell the delicious pancakes too! We are enjoying watching the jacaranda trees bloom. We have never seen them before! Have a great weekend!

Looks like a great weekend just chillin' Max. Ymmmmmm.....pancakes!!

And, your mom's pictures are wonderful as always.

We're just gonna chill here this weekend, too...FINALLY some fall-like cooler weather here in SE Texas.

Hi Max, Tammy is so pretty! Your other friends are real cute too. I love hampsters and I'm glad my son didn't see that photo because we would be getting a hampster today! Your Mom's pictures are interesting. I love looking at pictures of places that are far away from us! Have a chillin weekend!

Max - I think that you're the best at chillin'! No pancakes for you? What are those humans thinking. Of course, that might be why you keep such a sleek build! Enjoy your springtime!

Hi Max,

Yeah, we want play! Only we don't know how to play up-side-down or are you glued to the wall sideways?

We're confused, but then it doesn't take much to confuse us cause we've been dancing a lot lately and our heads are spinning!

I'm damp and chillin' here too!

It has been raining since Thursday!

Tank woo fur sharing those pikhs! All of them made us smile!

PeeEssWoo: Butterskhotch is one of the khats that lives 'around' the neighbourhood - basikhally next door bekhause that lady is nice enough to feed them - she has also made sure to khapture them and get them spayed/neutered. There is someone a few houses away with outside khats that doesn't do that fur them. Butterskhotch and Brofur are siblings - their mom is around too - the newbie has recently begun to hang with them. We do keep fresh water around fur them. We feel badly fur them as they are nice enough khytties.

Hi Max,
I'll come over to play with you. I can even pick up Zim on the way. I do have a driver's license.

Hi Max,
Do please tell me you got some pancake in the end? I mean, surely your humans aren't so selfish that they ate them all themselves?? Had that happened chez nous, I would most certainly not be 'chlling', rather I would be running round the kitchen and barking in my very crossest voice!
Cheers, H.
