Dear Readers and faithful friends,

After a number of years of wonderful blogging, this blog has effectively become dormant - except for occasional updates regarding my book, MAXDOG. I have left this blog as a legacy to my dog and a place of sanctuary where we can reflect upon his life. Take your time, peruse the pages spanning Max's 18 months in cyberspace. Feel refreshed and uplifted because his story is an amazing one of..."LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX!"
My activities have now moved on to my new blog entitled "LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX". Please join me there where you can read about my family and canine companions. I also invite you to visit MAXDOG's FANPAGE on FACEBOOK. You can follow the specific links by clicking below:

MAXDOG's CHRISTMAS TRIBUTE

A "HELLO" AND AN UPDATE

GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!!!

MAXMOM here...

Hello there to all our friends across the world!
on this rainy Autumn Day in
JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA!!!

Although I'm consciously quietening down this particular blog, I hope it's okay with you that I put up a blogpost every now and again. There is no change in Max except that he is slowing down more and more each day. We try and make the best of the days that we still have together.

Yesterday was a beautiful Autumn Day and we took the two Goldens on a longer walk - partly to assess how Max is doing...

As I have said on my other blog,
The autumn colours of our neighbourhood are exquisite!...

TAMMY-GIRL thinks we are all far too slow...

But then there is a lot to look at!...

Today the rain has settled in and the temperatures have dropped.

Rainy Autumn days bring a sense of solemnity to the inhabitants of our buzzing city and its no different in our household.
These are days to curl up, cuddle up and wait for the warmer weather. A steamy beverage encased in chilly fingers is the perfect anecdote. The dogs cuddle up too - always at my feet and always together...

I wanted to also say that as Max's time to leave us draws closer
(and again,...I DON'T KNOW WHEN THAT WILL BE!)
I will be wrapping up this blog and moving MAXMOM's activities and those of

TAMMY-GIRL and KING TOFFEE

to my personal blog,

I would really love to maintain the friendships I've made amongst my doggie-blogging friends.
In the new blog, I will be posting both about the dogs and other things that interest me. This blog, 'THE ADVENTURES OF MAXDOG' will then remain as a legacy to Max after he has left us.

Please come and visit me at my new blog (and follow me perhaps?)
I leave you with a picture of the Golden duo
(apologies to my readers who have already seen it!)

Sending all my warm, uplifting and healing wishes to the doggies and kitties who are struggling and especially to my dear friends in France...

(Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time!)

With love,

Thanks so much for the update!

I completely understand that you want to keep this blog as Max's legacy--that's a great idea.

But I know that even if there will be no more posts on this blog, I'll never stop following it. And I hope all the others won't either.

Afterall, just because Max leaves and there won't be any more posts on his blog doesn't mean he has to lose his followers.

This blog means so much to me....and we're all on the journey with you even if we're across the world.

And seriously, is there nothing better than a warm pupper to cuddle with on a cold day...or a hot day...well any day?

Dear Maxdog and Maxmom,

You've fought long and hard, and sometimes a good rest is needed. Your look at the autumn trees was so beautiful; a leisurely stroll was perfect to take in the colors and enjoy all that nature has to offer.

The time to rest may be coming closer, and we'll never forget our journey with you. God bless, gentle hugs, and huge kisses to all of you, and thank you for sharing such a wonderful life with us!

Dear Maxmom
Thank you for allowing us to stroll with you through this Autumn time. A time of falling leaves, when the earth will slumber for a moment. And then the brightest stars will shine in the universe.
Thank you for leaving this blog as a treasure to us- for us to come to for comfort. A place where we can come to reflect and feel the presence of Max forever. A place to sit- a place to listen. A place to hope, and a place just to be quiet and be thankful for what Max has taught us.
We love your new blog too- thank you for creating it -so that we all can grow together.

My dear friend, I am way behind reading my blogs and I just read yours. I am not surprised by this news and I was also wondering what you were going to do. I think it would be a fitting tribute to Max. He is such a special friend to everyone in the blogging community. Even though you are so far away I feel like we are friends. Is that strange? I don't think so. I keep Max and you in my prayers.

Your fall colors are beautiful and we are enjoying our spring time warmth in New England!
