Dear Readers and faithful friends,

After a number of years of wonderful blogging, this blog has effectively become dormant - except for occasional updates regarding my book, MAXDOG. I have left this blog as a legacy to my dog and a place of sanctuary where we can reflect upon his life. Take your time, peruse the pages spanning Max's 18 months in cyberspace. Feel refreshed and uplifted because his story is an amazing one of..."LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX!"
My activities have now moved on to my new blog entitled "LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX". Please join me there where you can read about my family and canine companions. I also invite you to visit MAXDOG's FANPAGE on FACEBOOK. You can follow the specific links by clicking below:

SPRING CLEANING INCLUDES MALTESES!

mmmWOOF!
GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA
MAXDOG reporting...

Hey there all my furry friends! As you know, some of us are experiencing "Springy" weather and Mom just loves this season. The trees are stunning, the birds abundant, the weather perfectly sunny and the flowers prolific. Spring time is her favourite time of the year.

So you will understand that all her little plants get cared for and cherished...

The funny thing is that Mom's Spring-cleaning often includes us!
Thankfully TAMMY & I escaped this time, but TOFFEE & TOMMY got the full treatment!
HERE IS A 'BEFORE' PICTURE OF TOFFEE...

AND HERE ARE THE "AFTER" PICTURES...
(Frankly, I can't see much difference...TOFFEE remains an arrogant little 'squirt'!)

...BUT...I agree that those eyes could convince anyone otherwise!

I'm a bit 'miffed' at the moment, because TOFFEE is getting all the attention!
I think it has something to do with the healing of his (very interesting smelling)backside!

Anyway...

TOMMY didn't wait for photos to be taken of his clean 'old' self.
He ducked off..thought it was some sort of game of 'chase me'! mmmmphf!...OLD dog indeed????

Well, with all the shinanigans going on in the house, I decided to live by my own rule....

"IT'S BETTER TO JUST GO AND SMELL THE FLOWERS!"
That's all for today. Have a wonderful, beautiful, happy, healthy and loving day!
Lots of licks

We love the change in seasons and like that we live somewhere that has 4 very distinct seasons. Though winter, of course, is our favorite.

You asked about the Siberian Husky Breed. There are many wonderful websites that explore the "challenges", but here are a couple:

http://www.siberianrescue.com/seneca.htm

http://www.siberescue.com/Breed_Info/breed_infoindex.htm

On that second one, select the drop down box under personality and select each one. It is complete with pictures proving each trait. Very eye opening.

I think Tommy could use some static guard.

Nothing like a nice wash and blow dry to make one feel dapper, I say.

I am excited to see what spring brings you. Indeed Halloween wouldn't seem the same there with your lovely weather would it.? It is a silly Holiday anyway. I loved the before and after pictures. You are quite the cleaner. I also loved your post about Musing(amusing) on your other blog. You are a very gifted writer. Teach me!

Hi Max
I've missed so much while Gail's been away. Those flowers are beautiful. But you know what? I think Toffee look better in the 'before' picture. More natural. But don't tell your Mum as I don't want her to feel her efforts were wasted...
Cheers, H.
