Dear Readers and faithful friends,

After a number of years of wonderful blogging, this blog has effectively become dormant - except for occasional updates regarding my book, MAXDOG. I have left this blog as a legacy to my dog and a place of sanctuary where we can reflect upon his life. Take your time, peruse the pages spanning Max's 18 months in cyberspace. Feel refreshed and uplifted because his story is an amazing one of..."LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX!"
My activities have now moved on to my new blog entitled "LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX". Please join me there where you can read about my family and canine companions. I also invite you to visit MAXDOG's FANPAGE on FACEBOOK. You can follow the specific links by clicking below:

TAMMY'S MIXED BAG...

mmmWOOF!
GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!

Hello there every furry buddy!
TAMMY here...
MAX say that I can do the blog today and tell you about all the things happening in our household...
"Thank you to my big beautiful boyfriend!"

Well the main thing that I have done this week is look after my Max.
Mom says that this is MY most important job! I love him lots and am more than happy just to do whatever he wants.
Mom also says that I can help her with his blog.

Mom says that there are quite a few humans in bloggie-land who are really struggling with their "sickies". She also says that she left an imaginary PROTEA (Our national flower) on someone's bedside table today. This flower is a symbol of floral strength - when we cut it, it lasts forever...

Here is a picture of that beautiful flower with the message:

"GET BETTER SOON!"

Yesterday Mom went out to tea with a friend and she said I could show some pictures of that beautiful tea garden (with it's little shop). Unfortunately us doggies didn't go with her, but we got to see the pictures...

All the tables laid out under the cool trees.

There were birds and a variety of chickens everywhere. They were all totally chilled out in the morning sunshine and were keen to entertain the patrons.

Some wind-chimes in the pretty garden.

The shop was really interesting with a variety of gifts on sale. Check out the South African cards (above). They represent township life and are really colourful!

Mom says that this KITTY PICTURE was exquisite!!!
(Cats!!!???!mmmmphf!)

A cat playing a trumpet???

A stretchy kitty!
Mom said the tea-garden was a lot of fun
(I'll take her word for it)
---xXx---
The last thing I want to tell you is that
JEANNIE
came to visit us doggies again last night. She is really cute, but she is female, so I will have to keep an eye on things as she grows up. I don't want to fight for my role as Alpha Female! I am not a fighting dog at all!
BUT at the moment she is being well socialised with all sorts of doggies and is really cute!!!
Check her out....playing with a rose-beetle!...

Silly puppy!

Well that's all for today in
TAMMY'S MIXED BAG!
Have a pawsome day and lots of small and neat licks!!!

I have Proteas in my garden as they seem to love poor, dry soil except mine are more a baby and a deep pink. I never knew what the symbolised though.

The tea garden looks gorgeous, I would of loved it with all its crafty bits...

and the pup is gorgeous as always... beautiful coloured coat...

Lovely tea garden. I think that chicken has fur.

Watch out for the little pup. They are so cute at first, but you are right, they start to challenge your place in the household and you are top gal no matter what.

Slobbers,
Mango

P.S. Hope little Toffee is feeling better

Excellent mixed bag, though we do not understand why our humans would ever want to go somewhere that we can not go.

Hello Tammy from (currently) snowless Anchorage Alaska. Thanks for the protea flower to help the sickies get well.

I enjoyed your Mom's visit to the tea garden, the chicken was very nice looking as were the cards and cat displays. And Jeannie is such a sweet puppy. We all hope you and the Pack and your family have a lovely weekend!!

Oh so nice! I love seeing a bit of your life. Someday we do hope to come visit SA...just don't know when. :) It looked like a lovely spot for tea! (Bert's b-day present was a camera...yep he is really happy!)

Hi Tammy, what a pretty flower that is! And mom really liked the spiral-y windchimes. I don't get why they let chickens in there but not dogs. :-/

Please tell King Toffee dat being the King of Dogdom is not up there wiff being Queen of the Universe. Sorry about that, but according to Boomer dat's just the way it is - she is Queen of Everything and Everybody, and she'll bop anyone on the head who doesn't agree wiff her. I don't think it's fair either, if you ask me.

Luv,
Cloud

I've never seen a protea but they look beautiful. It's nice of you to think of our friends in blog land struggling with health.

Springtime there and autumn-winter here. How fun!

I agree, Tammy, you look out for Max. What a lucky boy he is!

I love the kitty painting.

What an amazing flower! I'd think it was from another planet, not just a different continent!

That Jeannie is a dog after my own heart! Buggies make for excellent entertainment! Well... at least until you squish them (then they are boring).

What beautiful proteas. I must say that tea-room looks very familiar. Could it be Pupputzi in Linden?? (My spelling might not be quite right!)

We just loved the little tea garden but our favourite has to be the pics of the Protea!
Beautiful. We sometimes manage to grow exotic plants with beautiful flowers in our conservatory but can only imagine them growning outside!
We also just loved the Kitty Picture - what amazing colours - wouldn't you just love it!
Actually our mum just typed that without being told - of course we would want every cat to be replaced by a dog!!!!
Have a great weekend and thanks for sharing some of your beautiful things.
love

Hi Tammy - that was a great post, we're glad that Max let you do a guest-post for him, he's a kind doggie!

Those flowers were so beautiful, we've never seen anything like them before. We wish we could have joined your mom at the tea garden - it looked wonderful and those ornamental cats looked like yummy chew toys, he he! And Jeannie is just adorable.

Hey, Tammy... great pics! Mom still can't get over how green it is over there!

Cat pics???!!! WHAT IS your Mom thinking!? Interesting chickens... THEY would be fun to chase I'll bet!

Don't know much about Rose Beetles, but hopefully they don't shoot nasty stuff like the stink bug did on Mercy and Gracie's nose! OC
