Dear Readers and faithful friends,

After a number of years of wonderful blogging, this blog has effectively become dormant - except for occasional updates regarding my book, MAXDOG. I have left this blog as a legacy to my dog and a place of sanctuary where we can reflect upon his life. Take your time, peruse the pages spanning Max's 18 months in cyberspace. Feel refreshed and uplifted because his story is an amazing one of..."LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX!"
My activities have now moved on to my new blog entitled "LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX". Please join me there where you can read about my family and canine companions. I also invite you to visit MAXDOG's FANPAGE on FACEBOOK. You can follow the specific links by clicking below:

MAXDOG's CHRISTMAS TRIBUTE

DIGBY...SADLY MISSED...

A tribute to our departed friend:
DIGBY....

As I look to the sunset I now know
That you are there...in its glorious glow.
Chasing bunnies, Playing with balls
soaking up smells in fields with no walls...

I follow your light...

Sadly missed...

There is a famous story about an amazing dog of Africa
"Jock of the Bushveld"
...which was made into a movie.

The theme song, "Brave Heart", by Johnny Clegg (a South African musician) is one of my all time favourites. The lyrics of the song itself remind me so much of the spirit of our amazing dogs who put up such a fight to struggle with these dreadful terminal illnesses.

Please go and take a listen to this video:

We send our love and comfort to
Angus, the "Font", their family and fur-brother Wilf.

With all our love,

Oh Max ! We've just seen this. Despite having worries of your own you've taken the time to think about a little dog you've never met. That says reams about how big your heart is .

Yesterday was a sad day for us - Digby was one of our closest friends - we had followed them from Italy to France and loved reading about their life. He has left a legacy of love for all of us.

We are also so sad for Digby's family and Wilf. That is a beautiful song - we agree that it is totally applicable to the spirit of the dogs we know who are dealing so bravely with sicknesses. What a special tribute.
Huge Hugs xoxoxo

Our hearts are most heavy today in our house thinking about the passing of dearest Digby. My mom cried very much when she read the news. We wish so much we had been able to get to know him better before he got sick but his spirit will stay with us forever, that's for sure.

We just came from Digby's farewell post. Wasn't it just like God to send the "stranger" along to provide the tiles to cover him. I love that God is the God of Comfort and is into the details that matter to us.

This is a wonderful tribute to Digby! I really had such high hopes that he would pull through and cried for him yeterday when I heard that he hadn't. Still so sad about it.

Yes, we, too, have gone by and left our respects to Digby's family. The story that Angus shared of the man with the mule was so touching. It was like God sent him a message that Digby had arrived safely, and that he cared about him and his family. Grammy from Corgi Country

We were deeply saddened by Digby's passing and the circumstances of his situation. We visited his blog and left our most sincere condolences to his family. We are all too familiar with what they had to endure and how much they are saddened by Digby's loss.
