Dear Readers and faithful friends,

After a number of years of wonderful blogging, this blog has effectively become dormant - except for occasional updates regarding my book, MAXDOG. I have left this blog as a legacy to my dog and a place of sanctuary where we can reflect upon his life. Take your time, peruse the pages spanning Max's 18 months in cyberspace. Feel refreshed and uplifted because his story is an amazing one of..."LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX!"
My activities have now moved on to my new blog entitled "LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX". Please join me there where you can read about my family and canine companions. I also invite you to visit MAXDOG's FANPAGE on FACEBOOK. You can follow the specific links by clicking below:

MAKE WAY...IT'S PUPPY PLAY!

Hi all! Max's mom here...

It's our 100th post today, so please forgive me for being nostalgic.

I thought I'd share a little poem I wrote some time ago (when little Tammy pup was welcomed into our household). The poem attempts to share the essence of puppyhood. Hope you like it!

PUPPY PLAY

Make way, make way, it’s puppy play!
A paw, a bark, a growl and a huff...
Hindquarters turned: It’s about to get rough!
Tail up high, twinkle in the eye,
Darting, shaking and difficulty braking.
Legs stretched, jaw low,
Dark eyes in a feverish glow.
A ball, a claw, a little leaf,
Long ears, wet nose and prickle-sharp teeth.

MAKE WAY! MAKE WAY! IT’S PUPPY PLAY!

Is there a post of Poet Laureate for dogs? If so, I nominate you for the position!
Lovely poem again.
Cheers, H.

I agree with Hamish! You should be the Poet Laureate for Dogs, the puppy poem is so easy to visualize!
