Dear Readers and faithful friends,

After a number of years of wonderful blogging, this blog has effectively become dormant - except for occasional updates regarding my book, MAXDOG. I have left this blog as a legacy to my dog and a place of sanctuary where we can reflect upon his life. Take your time, peruse the pages spanning Max's 18 months in cyberspace. Feel refreshed and uplifted because his story is an amazing one of..."LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX!"
My activities have now moved on to my new blog entitled "LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX". Please join me there where you can read about my family and canine companions. I also invite you to visit MAXDOG's FANPAGE on FACEBOOK. You can follow the specific links by clicking below:

MAXDOG's CHRISTMAS TRIBUTE

Saturday, August 15, 2009

...O WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!...

mmmmmmm...WOOF!
It is one of the most perfectly blissful days here in SOUTH AFRICA!

Remember...a couple of days ago I told you about NAMAQUALAND and its flowers?

Well, we have Namaqualand Daisies on our pavement. Mom is sooo happy about them! The flowers emerged a couple of days ago and their happy, sunny faces herald in our Spring!

Of course, I love to sit in them!!!
(I thought I'd help her...Then she can have two favourite things to photograph at the same time!!!)
But she chased me out of the daisies...I don't quite know why?
I thought I'd better rather go and sit on the lawn, next to the lavender plants.
...in the bright sunny sunshine...
(Is that a nose...or is it a stick?..with credit to Mango)

Of course, our SOUTH AFRICAN sunshine puts one to sleep!
It soothes you into a slumbering stupor...
(Which is a good thing when you are trying to recover from a late night!)

All is not lost, however, because..
...I left Tammy to MOW the grass!!!

I will see you guys when my sleep is over....probably on Monday.
Have a wonderful, happy, festive weekend.

...and lots of licks

Hey Max! The daisies look perfectly lovely... Nothing is growing here in Arizona, but I would love to see some flowers. Of course, they look so much better with you in the middle! :)

Moma interrupted our comment about the pretty daisies to say that she wants to wrap her arms around you two beautiful Goldens. She had a Golden once, and she loved him to pieces. She loves for us to come visit your blog (and she loves it when you stop by ours) cuz she thinks you are sooooo handsome and we love to imagine a climate opposite of our own. So cool!

We're happy to know you!
Love,
Jake and Fergi

You have a stick stuck in your nose! Has one of evil Rick's pals been lurking around your estate?

Ha roo, Max! Those Namaqualand Daisies are really pretty! I like that pic of you sitting in them - how perfect! I don't sit on our flowers, but I do like to taste them all. My mom seems to have a problem with that. I have no idea why!
Your sunshine made me sleepy...... I think I need to have a nice nap!
Play bows,
Zim
