After a number of years of wonderful blogging, this blog has effectively become dormant -except for occasional updates regarding my book, MAXDOG.I have left this blog as a legacy to my dog and a place of sanctuary where we can reflect upon his life. Take your time, peruse the pages spanning Max's 18 months in cyberspace. Feel refreshed and uplifted because his story is an amazing one of..."LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX!"
My activities have now moved on to my new blog entitled "LIVING LIFE TO THE MAX".Please join me there where you can read about my family and canine companions. I also invite you to visitMAXDOG's FANPAGEon FACEBOOK. You can follow the specific links by clicking below:

Momma hates those bicycle people because they are always riding on narrow streets (of which you appear to have none). So she liked seeing the elephant getting all mad at them.
South Africa is so blessed - what great photos. I must send you tomorrow a link from the London Review of books cocerning a famous British author with a house at Trafalgar. You'll (maybe) enjoy reading it.
Lovelovelove the picture of mama giving baby a shplash!!!! Imagine seeing such an amazing sight on a bike tour!!! Fabulous! Thanks for sharing Max! Hugs xo Sammie
Oh, Max! Aren't they magnificent! I especially like that baby one. I think having a herd of elephants come after you would make those cyclists pedal even FASTER, don't you think!?!? Love, Ammy
Thanks for sharing those pics and the link! You all are so lucky to live in such a diverse land. I've pretty much only have cows, horses, and donkeys on my island. Mom says that there are huge creatures living in the ocean surrounding us, but I've yet to see them so I don't believe her. Elephants are one of my mom's favorite animals. One day she hopes to see one outside of a zoo.
Max, you made the not-so-little man really happy today. He absolutely loved those elephants photos. He was so excited looking at them and he particularly loved the little one!
Many thanks for your very kind comments yesterday on our post - much appreciated by us all.
Moose says those are the strangest doggies he has ever seen! I saw your picture on Rufus' blog and had to stop over and see who this so handsome boy 'Max' was! Oh my you are striking! I look forward to poking around your blog and coming along for the tour of your country! Moose + Dana

That elephant in the last picture does not look like a real fan of bicycles. Just guessing.

Having an elephant chasing you would certainly make you go faster on a bike...

Our momma went all google-eyed when she saw the little baby. She thinks little baby elephants are so precious.
Wow, we always love your pictures! I wonder if a baby elephant would play with us?
